Althea or Marshmallow has an emollient and soothing effect on the digestive system and the urinary tract, supports regularity of bowel movements, maintains normal function of the mucous membranes lining the respiratory system and helps maintain the health of nose and throat.

Mallow has an emollient and soothing effect on the digestive and urinary system as well as on the oropharyngeal mucous membranes and the vocal cords. It helps maintain normal fluidity of bronchial secretions and supports regularity of bowel movements, normalising stool size and consistency.

Cream of tartar is a natural leavening agent, used as a substitute for chemical yeast for light and digestible preparations. Especially suitable in case of yeast intolerances or for the preparation of vegan and vegetarian desserts. It can also be used dissolved in water to make a thirst-quenching drink.
